The Indirapuram police have arrested four accused, busting a gang that steals cash by cutting ATMs. On interrogation, the accused told that they were caught by the Noida Police three months ago, but while bargaining in the name of leaving, they were taken with a Creta car and Rs 20 lakh.

Inspector Chavez Khan and constable Ambareesh Yadav, accused of releasing the miscreants by taking bribe, have been sacked. Apart from this, the entire SWAT team of Noida Commissionerate has been dissolved. This action has been taken against these Noida Police personnel on the charge of giving away a Creta car and 20 lakh rupees to the miscreants of the gang who stole the money by cutting the ATM.

Property of all the accused will be investigated

Taking strict action, Commissioner of Police Gautam Budh Nagar Alok Singh has dismissed Inspector Chavez Khan and Chief Constable Amrish Kant Yadav appointed in Commissionerate Gautam Budh Nagar from service. The entire SWAT team of Commissionerate Gautam Budh Nagar has been disbanded and put on the line. Orders have been given to investigate their properties as well as the Additional Commissioner of Police, Law and Order has been directed to constitute a new SWAT team on the basis of merit.

The Indirapuram police had arrested four accused while busting a gang that had stolen cash by cutting ATMs. On interrogation, the accused told that they have been targeting ATMs of all the states including Delhi-NCR for a long time.

He was caught by the Noida Police three months ago, but while bargaining in the name of leaving, a Creta car and Rs 20 lakh were taken from him. As soon as this statement of the accused came to light, the district police officers contacted the higher officials and apprised them of the whole matter. There was a stir in the Noida Police after the phone ringing from Lucknow.

CCTV footage uncovered the exploits of Noida Police

The Indirapuram police had CCTV footage of the incident at an ATM. In this, members of the gang were seen sitting in a car. On Sunday, the police took four accused into custody based on the footage. When asked about the car, it came to know that this car is with the Noida Police. When asked how this car reached Noida Police, the accused said that not only the car, Rs 20 lakh was also taken in the name of leaving them. After the action of Noida Police came to the fore, the officials were made aware of it.

50 lakhs were demanded, 20 lakhs was bargained

According to police sources, the accused told that the Noida Crime Branch had caught them about three months ago. During this, Rs 10 lakh was recovered from the accused. When the accused requested to leave, the Noida Police demanded Rs 50 lakh, but while bargaining, the deal was done for Rs 20 lakh. Also, while raiding the whereabouts of the accused, the Noida Police found a Creta car, which they also took with them. Taking the same car, the police was caught on the CCTV camera. It is being told that the Ghaziabad Police has recovered this footage.
