Noida Airport – Jewar Farmers Refuse to Give Lands

Jewar | Government want 1165 hectare land of farmers to built Noida International Airport at Jewar. The administration has intensified efforts to get consent from the farmers.

On Wednesday, officials visited Qurayb and Dayanatpur villages and held talks, but the farmers flatly refused to consent without announcing compensation four times the circle rate. This caused the team to return empty handed.

The administration team had organized meetings from January 7 to 10 by sending teams from village to village to get consent from the farmers. Barring a few farmers, most refused to consent. Meanwhile, after the announcement of the assembly elections, the district administration had postponed the work of taking consent from the farmers till voting. Now after voting, the district administration has become active again to take consent from the farmers.
