Cyber cell in Ghaziabad’s Indirapuram busted a gang that stole cash by hacking ATMs with software and arrested five accused from Mangal Bazar Chowk. The gang has stolen around Rs 30 crore by hacking 250 ATMs in 8 states in 12 years.
Kamal is the gang leader in Hyderabad, for whose arrest the police was contacted there. Apart from Kamal, Shahzad, Zaid and Wajid, who are involved in the gang, are still absconding. On July 13, about 7 lakh rupees were withdrawn after hacking the ATM of Axis Bank near Gaur Green Vista in Nyayakhand-1. During the investigation of this case, clues of the accused were found.
10 Mobiles, One SIM Card, Tata Safari, Ford Eco Sport, Bullet, 16 ATM Cards, Laptop-Charger, Seal, Pendrive, Memory Card, Four Card Readers, Two NRF, Two Hard Disks, Two RAM, WiFi Keyboard, The ATM schemer, two USB hubs, two USB, one P-1 Display CD driver and one hard disk cable have been recovered.
The gang became active again after being released from jail in 2016
