This remarkable feat was achieved in the SL-4 category final, where he emerged victorious by defeating Mohd of Malaysia. Suhas secured this momentous victory in a grueling three-game match that lasted nearly an hour, with a final scoreline of 16-21, 23-21, 21-17 in his favor.

Suhas LY, an IAS officer from the 2007 batch in the Uttar Pradesh cadre, hails from Shimoga district in Karnataka. His posting as the District Magistrate in Gautam Buddha Nagar took place in March 2020, coinciding with the challenging period of the Covid-19 pandemic. Suhas boasts an impressive track record of securing over a dozen medals in numerous international competitions, including a silver medal in the Tokyo Paralympics.
