BJP MLA from Loni, Nand Kishore Gurjar, on Monday afternoon at around 3.30 pm, locked the branch of HDFC Bank after receiving complaints about people not sanctioning loans. For this the staff of the bank was thrown out. He said that loans worth Rs 10 thousand are not being sanctioned here under the Pradhan Mantri Svanidhi Yojana. 191 people have applied, while only one has been approved, that too by taking a bribe of two thousand rupees. After 20 minutes the MLA left from there and with this the bank was reopened.
Earlier, the street vendors had reached the MLA’s residence with a complaint. He said that bank employees are making rounds to give a loan of ten thousand under the Svanidhi scheme in the bank, yet they are not giving approval. People also showed the copy of the application form deposited in the bank to the MLA. On this, the MLAs reached the bank with the people. The MLA told the bank manager Arun Kumar that the officers and employees who sabotage the government’s welfare scheme will not be tolerated. After coming from the bank located in Tronica City, the MLA has written a letter to the Union Finance Minister demanding a probe into the non-approval of loans under the Svanidhi scheme.
