The Supreme Court, during the hearing in the matter, asked the Center and the Delhi government to come up with a plan within 24 hours to check air pollution. The court said that if both these governments fail to take any step to stop pollution, then we will give an order in this regard. The Supreme Court will now hear the matter tomorrow at 10 am.

The Supreme Court further said, “We feel that nothing is happening on the issue of air pollution, while its level is getting worse.” On this, the central government said that all the industries which were not following the set standards have been closed and the state governments were also informed about this. Solicitor General Tushar Mehta, appearing for the Centre, said that things are going at a brisk pace from the government side and the officers are continuously working to tackle the problem of air pollution.
