10 people drowned while taking bath on Ganga Dussehra in Farrukhabad. Six bodies have been identified. Right now the police is busy in the identification of four. In fact, on Thursday, when the divers landed in the Ganges on the information of two people drowning, the team found the dead bodies of 10 people from inside. Three people from Farrukhabad, two from Mainpuri and one from Badaun have been identified among the dead.
Two bodies went to search, four more bodies were found
Amit Yadav alias Baba (18 years), a resident of Jatwara Jadeed in Farrukhabad, went to take a bath in the Ganges at Panchal Ghat with friend Govind Yadav (17), a resident of Dariba West, on Thursday morning. When both did not return home till noon, the relatives searched. His cycle was found at Panchal Ghat. When the search was done, the bodies of both were found in the Ganges. Police said that during the search of Govind and Amit, four more bodies were found in the Ganges. They could not be identified. These dead bodies have been kept in the mortuary.
Two people of mainpuri died
Rahul Kumar (25 years), a resident of Hamirpur village of Thana Dannahar, Mainpuri, had come to take a bath in the Ganges along with Anil (22 years) and uncle Vinod Kumar from the village itself. Rahul and Anil drowned while taking a bath. Divers searched the bodies of Anil and Rahul. On the information of uncle Vinod, the family reached the ghat and took the dead body home.
