Noida – Ruckus at B.Ed exam center, police controlled

BEd examination was held on Friday at 17 centers in the district. During this, there was a dispute between the candidates and the school management at the Hoshiarpur Girls Inter College Center over the opening of the gate. As soon as the examination was over in the morning shift, at around 12 o’clock, some candidates immediately started trying to go out of the gate. It took time for the candidates to exit when the gate was closed. Due to which the angry people started rioting. Seeing the commotion increasing, the school management called the police. The matter calmed down only after the police arrived.

According to the school management, the gate was kept closed to maintain order at the examination center. The items like bags, mobiles of the candidates who came to the examination center were deposited earlier. After the examination, keeping the gate closed, all the candidates were being returned their belongings following social distance. Due to this, it took some time for the candidates to come out of the center. Seeing the gate not opening, some candidates started a ruckus. To maintain peace and order, this information was immediately given to the police. At the same time, due to the examination, the corona vaccination center was changed from Boys Inter College. Not knowing about which some people reached there for the purpose of vaccination and returned disappointed.

District School Inspector Dharamvir Singh said that peace and order was maintained at most of the centres. There was a slight displeasure at an examination center regarding the timing of the gate opening. After which the matter was pacified after persuading the candidates.

More than 1400 left the exam and More than 6800 candidates had registered for the examination to be held at 17 centers in the district. 5387 took the exam in the first shift. While 1413 remained absent. In the second shift, 5394 candidates took the exam. While 1406 remained absent.
