NOIDA NEWS – The District Sessions Court has sentenced Ram Niwas Sharma (58), convicted for the murder of a female friend, to life imprisonment. A fine of ten thousand rupees has also been imposed on Ram Niwas. If he fails to pay the fine, he will be jailed for an additional two months. In the year 2014, Ram Niwas escaped after carrying out the crime in Noida.
Ram Niwas Sharma lived on Rent
According to the registered case, Ram Niwas Sharma, originally a resident of Meerut, lived on rent in the house of Dharamveer Singh, a resident of Chada village in Noida. A woman also lived with him, whom he used to call his wife.

On the morning of 21 April 2014, Mahendra, the nephew of landlord Dharamveer, reached Ram Niwas’s room to collect rent. Ram Niwas was not found on the spot. The body of his wife was lying on the bed in the room. He immediately informed Dharamveer and the Sector-24 police station. Police registered a case of murder and started searching for the accused. Ram Niwas, absconding in the case, was arrested and sent to jail. Police investigation revealed that he was not married to whom he used to call his wife. The woman was his friend.
After the hearing, the District Court sentenced Ram Niwas Sharma to life imprisonment after being proved guilty. A fine of ten thousand rupees has also been imposed on him.
