Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has confirmed that comprehensive rescue operations are currently underway following the train collision between Visakhapatnam-Palasa passenger (train number 08532) and Visakhapatnam-Rayagada passenger (train number 08504). Every passenger has been evacuated, and dedicated response teams have been dispatched. Prime Minister Modi has closely monitored the situation and personally engaged with Andhra Pradesh’s Chief Minister to ensure a coordinated effort. As of now, the situation remains under control.

Additionally, the PMO announced financial aid of Rs 2 lakh to the families of the deceased and Rs 50,000 to each of the injured from the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund.
