National – Today Karnataka Govt makes necessary RT PCR report not more old than last 72 hours for people coming from Kerala and Maharashtra

The knock of new variants of Corona in many African and European countries, an alert has been issued in India about it. The Center has written a letter to all the state governments saying that no deficiency should be left in the prevention and monitoring of new variants in their respective states.

Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan has told that in a letter written to all the states and union territories, it has been said that the new variants have to be stopped from coming into India and for this intensive prevention and strict monitoring is needed. For this, vaccination has to be increased as well. PM Modi had also mentioned these measures in a meeting with the officials a day ago.

Following the instructions of the Center, the state governments have started taking precautionary measures. The Karnataka government has started screening passengers at the airport. State Health Minister Dr Sudhakar K has told that special attention is being kept on travelers from South Africa, Hong Kong, Botswana and other European countries. Let us tell you that in these countries only patients infected with new variants of corona have been found so far.

Special instructions for passengers coming from Kerala and Maharashtra

The Karnataka government has made RT-PCR negative report of corona mandatory for passengers coming from Kerala and Maharashtra. This report should not be more than 72 hours old. Apart from this, RT-PCR test will also be done for the students who have come to Karnataka from Kerala within the last 15 days.

This is the new guideline of the Karnataka government

  • The Government of Karnataka has postponed all social and cultural events, conferences, conferences and academic programs in educational institutions for 2 months.
  • The Deputy Commissioners of the districts bordering Kerala, Dakshina Kannada, Kodagu, Chamarajanagar and Mysore will have to ensure that the already established check posts are active and that 100 per cent screening of people coming from Kerala is being done as per protocol.
  • Students who have reached medical and paramedical colleges or other educational institutions in Karnataka from Kerala between November 12 and November 27, will also be subjected to RT-PCR test. Apart from this, the students residing in the hostel will have to undergo RT-PCR test again on the 7th day after the negative report comes.
  • Students and others traveling to Karnataka for education, business and other reasons will have to undergo an RT-PCR test once every 14 days and have a negative COVID-19 test report for entry into the southern state.
  • Employees working in government offices, malls, cinema halls, zoos, hotels and other places should be fully vaccinated.
