About a month ago, abducted pathology worker Sanjit Yadav was killed by his friends and dumped the body in the Pandu River. On Thursday night, police detained four youths and a young woman, including two friends. During interrogation, the accused have confessed to killing the body on June 26 and shed it in the Pandu river. On their spotlight, the police have recovered Sanjeet’s bike. The incident was carried out for ransom money.
According to police, 27-year-old Sanjeet Yadav, a resident of Barra-5 LIG Colony, was abducted by friends on the night of June 26 while going to Pathology. He worked in another pathology of Barra.
He became friends with two young men who worked together. It is said that they met in Barra-2 on the night of 22 June. After getting confirmation from the call detail, the police found several clues in the interrogation.
Family members of the deceased technician have been alleging since the start that the police forced them to arrange Rs 30 lakh, put them in a bag and then hand them over to the kidnappers, in order to nab the culprits.
However, according to the family members, the kidnappers escaped with the money in front of the cops, after which SSP Kanpur Dinesh Kumar met the victim’s family and assured them of the recovery of the youth within four days.
On the contrary, police officials have been claiming that the deceased’s family members did not give any money to the kidnappers.

Sources tell that during interrogation both friends have told that Sanjit was abducted for money. He had plans to open his own pathology lab. It was reported that to raise some money and take a loan from the bank by pledging the village land on need. This led to the idea of kidnapping Sanjeet and asking for a ransom. He made a plan with the help of two other colleagues. Bought two simcards from Sachhendi’s shop and called for Rs 30 lakh. Friends have denied getting the ransom money.
According to police sources, the whole plot was hatched by Panki resident Kuldeep and he was supported by Gyanendra, Ramji Shukla, and three other friends. Kuldeep took a house on rent in Ratanlal Nagar, taking his female friend as a wife, and Sanjeet was held hostage there. These people gave him sleeping pills and made him unconscious. Since Sanjit knew the kidnappers, it was already decided that he would be murdered.
