Step 1: Visit the official website of UIDAI (Unique Identification Authority of India), which is https://uidai.gov.in/.
Step 2: Under the Aadhaar Services section, click on “My Aadhaar” and select “Update your Aadhaar.”
Step 3: You will be redirected to the Aadhaar Self Service Update Portal. Enter your Aadhaar number and the security code provided and click on “Send OTP.”
Step 4: An OTP (One Time Password) will be sent to your registered mobile number. Enter the OTP in the given field and click on “Login.”
Step 5: You will be directed to a page where you can update your details. Select “Mobile Number” and click on “Submit.”
Step 6: Enter your new mobile number and click on “Submit Update Request.”
Step 7: You will receive an OTP on your new mobile number. Enter the OTP in the given field and click on “Proceed.”
Step 8: A URN (Update Request Number) will be generated. You can use this number to track the status of your update request.
Step 9: Download and save the acknowledgement receipt for future reference.
It is important to note that updating your mobile number in your Aadhaar card may take up to 90 days to reflect in your card. Also, a fee of Rs. 50 may be charged for updating your mobile number in your Aadhaar card.
