On Monday, Uttarakhand Public School located in Sector-56 was sealed by the authorities due to the non-payment of Rs 15.49 crore dues. The parents protested against this action outside the school. The school administrator faced their wrath. Several women started crying over the future of their children. They pleaded with the officials to unseal the school. The parents stated that they had already struggled to pay the quarterly fees and now they would face difficulties in getting their children admitted to other schools.
On Tuesday, the parents and children will surround the authorities, although it is unclear whether the school will reopen or not. Upon receiving the news of the school’s sealing on social media, the parents gathered outside the school gate in the afternoon. During this time, the guard tried to hide the notice posted outside the school’s gate. The parents removed the guard and saw the notice, putting pressure on the principal to meet with them. The parents stood outside the school for hours with their children to meet with the principal. Although some parents managed to enter, the school administrator threw them out. After this, a team of authorities and police arrived at the school. A while later, the authorities instructed the staff and principal to leave the premises. The parents surrounded the principal and demanded an explanation. During this time, there was a scuffle between the parents and the staff. The police had to intervene to disperse the crowd.
The authorities need to resolve the issue at the earliest, keeping in mind the welfare of the students. They must work out a solution so that the students can continue their education without any hindrance. Parents should cooperate with the authorities and refrain from resorting to violence to get their demands fulfilled. Violence is never a solution and can only harm the children’s education.
