The Uttarakhand Public School has deposited one crore rupees to the authority against their outstanding dues. Although there is hope that the school, which has been closed for a week, may reopen soon, no decision has been made by the authorities regarding its reopening. Officials have said that a meeting will be held to discuss this matter. Some concessions may be provided, but the outstanding dues must be paid by the school.

Since the school was sealed, parents have been making rounds of the authorities and administration. On Sunday, parents warned the management that if the school does not reopen within three days, they and their children will protest outside the school management and authority offices. Despite several notices issued by the authorities, the school has not taken any action. According to satisfied parent Santosh Khanduri, the school principal Harish Papne has deposited a restoration fee of five percent, but they are still owed 20 percent.

The authority’s OSD Vandana Tripathi has stated that the school has deposited one crore rupees. The school had outstanding dues of 15.49 crore rupees in 2020.
