Noida – Strike in 27 districts over lawyer’s murder, memorandum submitted

Noida | Lawyers are furious due to non-arrest of the accused in the murder of lawyer Nishant in Noida. On Friday, on the call of the High Court Bench Establishment Central Sangharsh Samiti, Western Uttar Pradesh, lawyers of 27 districts went on strike. Lawyers also submitted a memorandum after reaching the District Magistrate’s office.

District President of District Civil and Faujdari Bar Association Manoj Bhati told that lawyers of 27 districts of western UP should go on strike on the call of Sangharsh Samiti to protest against the killing of Nishant. A meeting was called on Friday in the District Bar Auditorium.

After this, the lawyers gave a memorandum in the name of the Chief Minister to the District Magistrate’s office. The memorandum has demanded implementation of Advocate Protection Act. Along with this, there has also been a demand for the arrest of Nishant’s killers and giving Rs 50 lakh to the victim’s family.
