Greater Noida – Safai Karamcharis strike ended after 6 days
Cleanliness has started in Greater Noida after the strike ended. In many sectors, employees have also started door-to-door garbage collection. However, even after the city’s cleanliness system comes back on track, it will take many more days. The officials of the authority are busy in rectifying the system.
Safai Karamcharis in Greater Noida Authority were on strike for 6 days. The strike was called off on Wednesday. The employees said that they would start their work from Thursday. The sanitation workers started cleaning from Thursday morning. In many sectors, employees also arrived to collect the garbage from the houses and took the garbage. Sector 36 resident Prateek Kumar said that on Thursday, the garbage collectors came to his sector and took the garbage. Garbage was not being picked up for 6 days. This was also causing trouble.
Safai Karamcharis may have started the work but it will take many more days to bring the sanitation system of the city and village back on track. It will also take time to pick up the garbage that has been lying for 6 days. However, the cleaning workers are working more than the normal days so that the cleanliness system can be improved. At the same time, officials of the Health Department of Greater Noida Authority are also working to rectify the system. Monitoring has been increased and garbage is being picked up.
