Every section of the society has faced problems due to the lockdown implemented due to the Coronavirus. In this episode, the transgender community in the society is seen with neglected eyes.
In such a situation, Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) has taken a big step towards the transgender community, Sector-50 station of Noida Metro (NMRC) will be made a dedicated station for the transgender community.
What (NMRC ) MD said about the Noida Metro Station for Transgender Community?
Ritu Maheshwari said that business will be given to the individuals from transgender network so they get an opportunity to associate with the standard. The station will be open for all workers, she included.
Officials claim that this is the first of its kind initiative launched by any metro system in North India for this community. Till now this station was declared as Pink Station, but now it will be changed and dedicated to the transgender community.
The Sector-50 station has been set up by NMRC exclusively for women Pink Station. It was launched on 8 March 2020. It has facilities for women ranging from breastfeeding to the makeup room, etc.

- There will be employment opportunities for the transgender community at this metro station
- Activity will be taken by NMRC to spread mindfulness among the transgender network through data and declarations inside the station and train of the Greater Noida Metro Route.
- NMRC will train metro staff to treat transgender in a cordial manner. Community participation will be ensured. For this, the community will be trained on the lines of the staff.
- Different intentional associations are being haggled for network interest so the difficulties of this network can be decreased consequently making a comprehensive society.
