Noida | The vicious robber, who came from Delhi to Noida and committed more than half a dozen incidents of chain and mobile snatching, was arrested by the Sector-24 Kotwali police on Saturday after an encounter. The accused has been identified as Panther alias PP alias Bhupendra, a resident of Delhi. Another accomplice of the injured miscreant fled taking advantage of the darkness. Police teams are raiding in search of absconding accused Zubair. Three mobile phones, pistol, cartridges and black colored scooty have been recovered from the accused.
How Police Arrested Want criminal Panther?
ADCP Ranvijay Singh said that information was received from the informer that the vicious robber Panther, who is running wanted in many cases of Delhi and Noida, is going to carry out some incident on Saturday in Sector-24 Kotwali area of Noida. As soon as the instructions of the officers were received, the police team led by Kotwali in-charge Sudhir Kumar was alerted. On Saturday night around nine o’clock, the police signaled to the police to stop two scooty-riding suspects on the service road of 31-25 elevated road of Sector-24 Kotwali area. Seeing themselves surrounded, the miscreants started firing at the police team. In response, a police bullet hit the leg of the vicious robber Panther. In the injured condition, the panther was sent to the district hospital for treatment. Panther used to change the hideout – ACP Rajneesh Verma told that Panther used to live in Trilokpuri and sometimes in Kalyanpuri.
Delhi Police also looking for Panther
Delhi Police was also looking for – ADCP Ranvijay Singh told that Delhi Police was also looking for Panther. Panther along with his partner Zubair has gone to jail several times. So far 14 cases have been confirmed against Panther. Information about the criminal history of Panther is also being done from other districts.
The ACP said that the target of gang miscreants were women. Recently, two incidents of snatching were carried out by miscreants in Noida. The snatching incident in front of Metro Hospital was captured on CCTV.
