Noida | Medicine Bank – India First Free Medicine Bank opened in Noida
No needy in the city will have to wander for medicine. Noida Lok Manch has started the first free medicine bank in the city, taking a unique initiative to ensure that everyone can get medicines free of cost without any hassle.
The medicine bank was inaugurated by MP Dr. Mahesh Sharma and Noida Authority CEO Ritu Maheshwari on Thursday at Sector-12 Community Center. Noida Lok Manch general secretary Mahesh Saxena said that the medicine bank will open from 10 am to 6 pm. Friday will be a weekly holiday.
People have donated about 475 types of medicines in the medicine bank. It is the second free medicine bank in the country after Mumbai. Here people will be able to take free medicine on doctor’s prescription. For this, three pharmacists have been kept on the bank. Along with this, a team of 12 doctors has been constituted. Who will come from time to time to check the medicines. He appealed to the people to donate medicines kept at home.
In the program, MP Dr. Mahesh Sharma said that Noida Lok Manch has won the trust of the people through its social work in the last 23 years. The institution has come true to the standards of the people of Noida. Noida Authority CEO Ritu Maheshwari said that when Noida Lok Manch demanded a place for medicine bank, the authority provided such a place without delay, where it could be started in less time.
On this occasion, former Chief Secretary and former CEO of Noida Authority PK Mishra, Officer on Special Duty of Noida Authority Indu Prakash, General Manager PK Kaushik, Dr. Ajit Saxena, President of Noida Entrepreneurs Association Vipin Malhan, President of Noida Employees Association Kushalpal Choudhary, Phonarwa K. President Yogendra Sharma, General Secretary KK Jain and others were present.
