According to the police, the wedding procession of Gopal’s daughter, resident of Chithera village, had come from Meerut on Sunday evening. While dancing during the procession in the procession, some youths of the village made remarks. There was an altercation between both the sides on this matter, after which the youths of the village reached Krishna Farm House on GT Road and started beating up the baraatis. Seeing the assault, the groom’s brother came running and asked the reason for the beating, the accused also grabbed him and beat him to the ground, causing a stampede among the baraatis. Three or four baraatis were injured in the fight.

People who came to the rescue were also beaten up

In the meantime, when the Sheeshpal of the village came to the rescue of the people who were being beaten up, the accused started beating them too and using caste words, pushed and behaved indecently. The incident was reported to the police. Seeing the information reached, the youth of the village fled away. The police searched for the attackers in the farm house. But he did not meet. After that the matter was pacified by extinguishing the baraatis. The incident has been reported to the police.
