The revelation of a counterfeit call center by the Noida Police has stirred discussions both within India and beyond its borders. The Gautam Budh Nagar Police Commissionerate has garnered significant praise on social media platforms, particularly in Washington, USA. This recognition comes in the wake of their successful crackdown on a fraudulent call center that targeted American citizens. DCP Harishchandra shared that the Noida Police received information from an American agency regarding the operation of fake call centers in Sector 6, involved in duping American citizens. Acting on this tip, the police initiated a discreet investigation. Once the accuracy of the information was confirmed, a decisive raid was conducted resulting in the apprehension of 84 individuals, including 38 females associated with the call center. The perpetrators, through this illicit setup, exploited US citizens by coercing them into illegal activities tied to their Social Security numbers.
