A sudden fire broke out in the building of a media house in Khora Colony on National Highway-9 (NH-9) on Wednesday night. On receiving information, three fire tenders reached the spot and started extinguishing the fire.
Firefighters say that the fire broke out in the electric panels and other items near the Shirdi temple on the ground floor of the media house. Eight people were trapped in the building as smoke spread in it, who were pulled out by the fire brigade team from the balcony of the fourth and second floors. During this, the health of two people deteriorated due to panic.
These people have been admitted to a nearby private hospital while others were sent home after first aid. Chief Fire Officer Sunil Kumar Singh says that due to the intelligence and prompt action of the fire brigade, a major accident was averted.
The fire in the building is believed to be caused by a short circuit. Firefighters got everyone out safely in time.
