Ghaziabad: Drug Department Raids Bust Fake Medicine Factory, Seizes ₹1.1 Crore Worth of Drugs

Ghaziabad News: The Ghaziabad Drug Department, along with the Crime Branch and Sahibabad police station, conducted raids at two locations in Rajendra Nagar Industrial Area and New Defence Colony, Bhoora. The raids led to the seizure of a large consignment of fake gas, sugar, and blood pressure medications worth ₹1.1 crore (approximately USD 135,000). Raw materials, machinery, and finished counterfeit drugs were also recovered from the sites. Additionally, 14 samples were sent for testing.

The teams filed a case against the company owner, Vijay Chauhan, at the Sahibabad police station under sections related to manufacturing, selling, and possessing counterfeit drugs, and fraudulent practices. He was subsequently arrested.
