Street Working Children Newspaper Balaknama Completes its 100th Edition

Delhi | Social organization Childhood Enhancement through Training and Action (Chetna) organized a press conference on the publication of 100 issues of Balaknama in the Conference Hall of Press Club of India in which 30 children participated in which the talkative reporter editor spoke in the press conference.

Balaknama Started in 2003

Balaknama editor 19-year-old Kishan said that in 2003 when Balaknama newspaper was started, 35 children were associated and in 2022 about 12000 children are directly and indirectly associated with Balaknama in which 64 are reporters, 32 girls and 32 Boys.

He said that today we are very happy that 100 issue of Balaknama is being published with the efforts of all of us while raising the voice of working children. He is associated with Balaknama and is working for Balaknama News!

Jyoti, the former editor of Balaknama newspaper, said that when we were living under the Nizamuddin flyover and at that time I became a talkative reporter in the Balaknama and I also became the editor of Balaknama newspaper and today I work for the children. I am also studying in class 10th. Jyoti struggled a lot in her life even after living under the flyover she did not lose her courage and today she became a successful person and took forward all the children with her courage!

The members of the Balaknama newspaper said that when the news was published on the condition of road and working children through the newspaper, the Hon’ble Supreme Court has taken cognizance and ordered all the District Officers (DMs) of India to maintain the road and working conditions of their respective districts. Collect information about the prevention and attendance of children

Chetna NGO – Sanjay Gupta Encourage Childs

The director of Chetna Sanstha, Mr. Sanjay Gupta, encouraged all the children in the press conference by saying that this work is very commendable.

He said Balaknama newspaper is discussed all over the world, about 1000 newspapers and news channels as well as national and international leading newspapers of the country have given priority to the news of Balaknama in their newspaper.

On publication of 100 issue, all former members of Balaknama present in the launch including Ravi, Saurabh, shambhu, Vijay, Jyoti and Subhash. The members extended their best wishes to all the street working children and exhorted them to raise their voices strongly and move forward!
