DELHI RAPE CASE – In Shastri Park area, the landlord’s son raped the tenant’s daughter and when the victim’s father complained to the police station, the accused along with his father and brother beat her to death. After the incident, the police arrested the landlord and his two sons after registering a case under other sections including culpable homicide not amounting to murder.
At the same time, the victim’s family has accused the police of trying to lighten the matter by registering a case of assault on the complaint of rape, after which the accused attacked the victim’s father.
Threatened to Kill Her
The victim’s father along with wife, daughter and four sons lived on rent in Shastri Park. He used to work as a broom on the ground floor of the house. The sister of the deceased told that the son of the landlord had raped his 14-year-old niece on Holi and threatened to kill her if she told anything to the family members. The victim then did not tell anything out of fear, but three days later, on Monday, she dared to inform the family members about the incident.
Victim Father Died
After this, the victim’s father reached Shastri Park police station on Monday itself and gave a complaint of rape. It is alleged that the police did not register a case of rape, but sent the case registered under the section of assault. Also no action was taken against the accused. At the same time, when the accused came to know about the complaint in the police station, he got angry on the father of the victim. On Thursday morning, the accused along with his brother and father beat up the victim’s father badly. The seriously injured were admitted to GTB Hospital, where they died during treatment.
