Delhi | Delhi government is going to impose night curfew amidst increasing cases of corona. There will be a ban in Delhi from Monday between 11 pm to 5 am. The Delhi government has taken this decision as a precaution even before going into yellow alert. If the infection rate of Corona remains 0.50 percent on Monday for the second consecutive day, then with the metro running at 50 percent capacity, the odd-even formula will be applicable in the markets. While many other restrictions will also apply.

The Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) has approved the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) for a possible third wave of Kovid. Under GRAP, different types of restrictions have been fixed based on the infection rate of corona, active patients and number of patients admitted in hospitals. The system will be activated automatically when the specified number of cases increases.

These restrictions will apply in Delhi Night Curfew

  • Metro will run at 50 percent capacity.
  • Cinemas, multiplexes, theatres, conference rooms, banquet halls, spa and wellness clinics, yoga institutes and gyms will be closed along with educational institutions.
  • Night curfew will be applicable from 10 pm to 5 am.
  • Between 10 am to 8 pm, shops and shopping malls will open on the odd-even formula.
  • Restaurants will open at 50 per cent capacity from 8 am to 10 pm and bars at 50 per cent capacity from 12 pm to 10 pm.

A record 290 cases of corona have been found in Delhi on Sunday and one person has died. Earlier on Saturday, 279 corona patients were found in Delhi and one person died. This is the seventh death due to corona infection in this month. On Thursday, 125 people were found infected in the capital, but on Friday this number had increased to 180.
