Noida News India – Spotify now supports video podcasts on your Mobile and Desktop App. The Spotify company announced that users now can able to watch videos of their favorite podcasts.
The initial shows launching video companion content are Book of Basketball 2.0, Fantasy Footballers, The Misfits Podcast, H3 Podcast, The Morning Toast, Higher Learning with Van Lathan & Rachel Lindsay, and The Rooster Teeth Podcast.
Spotify also said that through these visuals fans or podcasts listeners can get a great and better experience and Creators can influence or connect with their audience easily.
To start watching, just press play on your desktop or mobile app. The creator-made videos will start automatically and sync immediately with your audio feed.
If you’re multitasking between apps or want to lock your device during the episode, no worries: your audio will continue to play in the background with no interruption (and minimal data usage).
All listeners will still be able to download the audio to their mobile devices to listen to shows on the go.
Spotify Video Podcasts feature coming out
This feature sets Spotify up to compete with YouTube on podcasting. It’s already locked down the platform’s biggest show — The Joe Rogan Experience — and while most podcasters likely won’t be exclusive to Spotify, video podcasts on the platform mean creators have more flexibility with the distribution. They will promote Spotify as an area to not only download or stream their show but also to observe it, giving the platform a leg abreast of YouTube. Still, podcasters will likely continue uploading their shows to YouTube if only to profit off of Google-inserted ads and to profit from search traffic and discoverability. But with Spotify, they will reach even more listeners during a place where they likely already hear podcasts.
Spotify now supports video podcasts so, it’s ready to compete with other video podcasts brands like YouTube.
