Noida – Liquor smuggling in luxury sleeper bus from Haryana to Bihar, Arrested by Noida Police
The police of Uttar Pradesh’s Gautam Budh Nagar district has busted the long-running liquor smuggling. Liquor was transported from Haryana to Bihar by luxury sleeper bus. In the bus, 90 boxes of liquor hidden under the seats and behind the glass have been recovered.
The police have busted the long-running liquor smuggling from Haryana to Bihar in a luxury sleeper bus. Police arrested the driver of the bus and recovered 90 boxes of Haryana Marka liquor. Its price is said to be Rs 5.40 lakh. However, one of the accused fled the spot.
Police are trying to trace the other accused linked to the smuggling. The accused had hidden the liquor boxes inside the bus by making racks in such a way that the police recovered it after searching for two hours. At the same time, Police Commissioner Alok Singh has appreciated the action of Dankaur police.
In the middle of the bus, the luggage was filled under the seat-recliner sleeper. When the lid of a rack was removed under it, liquor was found from there. A cabin was also built behind the bus. Its exterior was covered with glass. The outsider did not even know that the cabin was behind. Liquor boxes were hidden in the cabin by making a rack.
According to the police, due to the prohibition of liquor in Bihar, the accused started the business of smuggling on a large scale. Liquor was being delivered in Bihar at three times the cost. After this, it was sold to the people in retail at four to five times the price. There is also a possibility of liquor smuggling from many such buses.
