Jammu Kashmir News | 12 devotees have died in the stampede at Mata Vaishno Devi Bhawan. The casualties are expected to rise. Dr. Gopal told that the injured are being taken to Narayan Hospital. His treatment is going on. The casualties include people from Delhi, Haryana, Punjab and Jammu and Kashmir.

After the incident, many devotees have taken the path of returning home. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed condolences to the people killed in the accident. In his message, the Prime Minister expressed his condolences to the families of the casualties and wished a speedy recovery to the injured. The Prime Minister has announced that Rs 2 lakh will be given to the next of kin of the slain pilgrims. 50,000 will be given to those injured in the accident.

Jammu and Kashmir LG Manoj Sinha has announced an ex-gratia of Rs 10 lakh to the next of kin of those killed in the stampede at Mata Vaishno Devi Bhawan in Katra and Rs 2 lakh to the injured.
