New Delhi – The Bengaluru-based startup, Hoovu Fresh (Rose Bazaar), was founded by two sisters, Yeshoda and Rhea Karuturi, with the goal of modernizing traditional flower sales. The sisters grew up in Bengaluru and received their education in Ethiopia and the United States. Yeshoda studied Business Administration and earned a Master’s in Accounting from Washington University, while Rhea studied Science, Technology, and Society at Stanford University. The flower business has been a part of their lives since the beginning, as their father started a rose farm in 1994, the year Yeshoda was born. The farm has since expanded to locations in India, Kenya, and Ethiopia.
Hoovu Fresh has secured 10 million in funding
Bengaluru-based floral startup Hoovu Fresh has received 10 million rupees in funding from Shark Tank India, with investment coming from Aman Gupta, co-founder of boAt Lifestyle, and Peyush Bansal, founder of Lenskart.com.
