For the last rites of dogs in Ghaziabad, the Municipal Corporation has set up a PNG (pipe natural gas)-powered crematorium, which has started operation. IGL conducted a trial by laying a gas pipeline till the crematorium near Nandi Park on Rajnagar Extension road.
Ghaziabad First Cremation Place for Dogs
A fee of Rs 500 has been kept for the cremation of pet dogs, the cremation of destitute dogs will be done free of cost by the Municipal Corporation. Veterinary and Welfare Officer of the corporation Dr. Anuj Singh said that the gas pipeline has been tried for disposal of dead bodies.
Now a fine will be imposed for throwing the carcasses of dogs here and there.
