Ghaziabad News – On Thursday, a convoy of All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi was fired upon in Hapur district of Uttar Pradesh., although no one, including Owaisi, was harmed. Police took one person into custody in this connection while the other surrendered at Singhani Gate police station in Ghaziabad.
According to police sources, some chaotic elements targeted Owaisi’s car near Chhijarsi toll plaza when he was going to Noida after doing public relations in Kithor town of Meerut. Taking quick action in this case, the police arrested one attacker while another surrendered at Singhani Gate police station in Ghaziabad.
Soon after the attack, Hyderabad MP Owaisi tweeted and informed about the incident. He said, “Sometime back, shots were fired at my car at Chhijarsi toll gate. 4 rounds fired. There were 3-4 people, all of them ran away and left the weapons there. My car got punctured, but I got out in another car and left. We are all safe.
