NEW DELHI – A heart-wrenching incident has come to light in Malviya Nagar, South Delhi. A mother strangled her two-month-old baby girl Ananya Kaushik and hid her in a microwave oven. The family informed the police about the missing of the girl. On search, Ananya’s body was found in the oven. Within two hours the girl was found dead in the oven.
The police have taken the body of the girl in custody and kept it in the mortuary for post-mortem. Mother Dimple Kaushik has been taken into custody and she is being interrogated. South District DCP Benita Mary Jakar said that the Malviya Nagar police station has registered a case of murder against unknown people. The family members of the girl are being interrogated. The accused mother was angry with the second child being a daughter.
Apart from his wife Dimple Kaushik, he had a four-year-old son and two-month-old daughter Ananya Kaushik. Along with Gulshan’s mother and brother also live. He runs a grocery shop at home.
According to the information received, at around 3 pm on Monday, Dimple smothered the girl and put her in a bad oven kept on the second floor. After that she came to the first floor. She locked the room and started beating her four year old son. Husband, mother-in-law and brother-in-law were sitting at their grocery shop on the ground floor. Hearing the noise, he went upstairs and saw that Dimple was beating his four-year-old son. The room was locked from inside. These people broke the door and went inside and saved the son. During this, Dimple fainted. He was taken to the hospital. On going to the hospital, it was found that he had pretended to be unconscious.
Then the family got worried about the girl. The girl was searched everywhere. Later, the girl was found unconscious in the microwave oven kept on the second floor. The girl’s grandmother took the girl out of the oven. The girl was taken to the hospital, where doctors declared her brought dead. The police was informed from the hospital around 5 pm on Monday. The police are interrogating the parents of the child by taking them into custody.
