Delhi : Club sealed in Mehrauli for violating Corona guidelines, 600 people were present

Delhi NCR – In Mehrauli, a club of surprise inspection found overcrowding. Covid protocol was being violated in the club. Immediately the Tehsildar of Mehrauli and his team dispersed the crowd. The premises were sealed on the spot in violation of the guidelines of DDMA.

According to the information, a flying squad team from District South had gone to the famous restaurant of Mehrauli for a surprise inspection. The club got overcrowded. Covid protocol was being violated in the club.

It has been found that the team reached here at around 10.45 on Thursday night. There were about 600 people in the club. The club has been sealed taking action as per the guidelines of DDMA for the prevention of the new variant Omicron of Corona.

South Delhi’s ADCP M. Harsh Vardhan said that information was received that a lot of people had gathered in a restaurant in Mehrauli. As per the guidelines of DDMA, there is a restriction on the gathering of such number of people and also violation. We have registered a case under sections 188 and 269 of IPC. The restaurant has been sealed.

According to the order of DDMA, all the District Magistrates will survey the entire area falling under their jurisdiction. During this time they will have to identify colonies, markets and crowded places in which corona and its new variant Omicron are likely to spread. It has been said in the order that all the District Magistrates and DCPs will deploy adequate number of forces to keep more vigil at public places, so that the increase in corona cases can be stopped.
