Chhath Bihar Special Train –
In preparation for the much-anticipated Chhath Puja celebrations, the Indian Railways is stepping up its efforts to ensure a seamless travel experience for devotees. Special train services are set to bridge the gap between Delhi and key Bihar destinations, including Patna, Jaynagar, and Gaya. In total, an impressive 42 round trips are on the cards to accommodate the high demand during this significant festival.
Deepak Kumar, Chief Spokesperson of the Northern Railway, highlighted the railways’ dedication to passenger convenience and reducing overcrowding. To this end, special Chhath Puja trains will ply from Anand Vihar Terminal to Gaya, Patna, and Jaynagar.
Here are the key details of the special train services:
- Patna Junction-Anand Vihar Terminal Patna Junction Superfast Special Train (Train Number 03255/03256): This service will operate on 12 trips between November 23 and December 10. Departing from Patna at 10.20 pm every Thursday and Sunday, it will reach Anand Vihar at 3 pm the following day. In return, the train will depart from Anand Vihar Terminal at 11.30 pm on Friday and Monday (from November 24 to December 11), reaching Patna at 5.20 pm the next day.
- Superfast Special Train (Train Number 02391/02392): Operating 6 trips between Patna and Anand Vihar, this train will leave Patna Junction every Saturday (from November 25 to December 9) at 10.20 pm and arrive at Anand Vihar at 3 pm the following day. The return journey will commence from Anand Vihar Terminal every Sunday at 11.30 pm (from November 26 to December 10), reaching Patna at 5.20 pm the next day.
- Gaya-Anand Vihar Terminal-Gaya Train (Train Number 03635/03636): This service will make a total of 18 trips, enhancing connectivity between Gaya, Anand Vihar Terminal, and Gaya.
