West Bengal | Student Credit Card scheme launch by Government of West Bengal
West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee – I am delighted to announce that the Govt of West Bengal has launched the Student Credit Card today. To make the youth of Bengal self-reliant, the Scheme shall provide a loan of up to ₹10 Lakh with an annual simple interest.
Any person who has spent 10 years in West Bengal can take advantage of this. The loan will be available for undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral, and post-doctoral studies in India or abroad. Its most important thing is that after getting a job, a student will be given 15 years to repay the loan.

- A student can get a soft loan of up to Rs 10 lakh for higher studies with the help of a credit card.
- The student will be given 15 years to repay the loan after getting the Job.
- It will also benefit the students studying in various coaching institutes, who are preparing to appear in the national level competitive exams, which include IIT, IIM, NLU, IAS, IPS, WBPS.
