Satyamev Jayate 2 has been released on 2500 screens across the country. The film directed by Milap Zaveri has been presented as a masala entertainer, which has full dialogue and action. John has played three characters for the first time, one of a police officer and the other of Vigilante fighting against corruption. The third character is that of the father of both of them. Divya Khosla Kumar played the female lead role in the film. The film is getting mixed response from the audience and critics.

According to the Bollywood Hungama website, Satyamev Jayate 2 did a net collection of 3.60 crores at the box office on the first day. Due to Thursday being a working day, the figures of the film remained low. The film’s earnings are expected to increase over the weekend.

In terms of opening day earnings, Satyamev Jayate 2 has been lighter than John and Milap’s previous film Satyamev Jayate, which collected around 20 crores at the box office. Manoj Bajpayee was seen in the parallel lead role with John in the 2018 film.

The biggest challenge before the industry was the return of the audience due to the closure of theaters for several months due to the Corona virus pandemic. However, Akshay Kumar’s Sooryavanshi, which released on November 5, put an end to all such apprehensions, which were being said that after a long lockdown, the audience has lost the habit of going to the cinema to watch the film. Sooryavanshi proved by taking an opening of more than 26 crores that the audience is not far from theatres, they just want the content to pull them.
