Veg Momo Recipe – People who are fond of eating momos can enjoy it by making this Chinese street food at home to pacify their craving. Momo is a Chinese word which means steamed bread. Ingredients for making Veg Momos-

  • -1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 cup grated cabbage
  • 1 cup grated carrot
  • -1 cup finely chopped capsicum and onion
  • 1 tsp ginger paste
  • 1 tsp black pepper powder
  • -2 tsp oil
  • -salt to taste

How to make Veg Momo (Recipe)

To make Veg Momos, first take all purpose flour or flour in a vessel and add salt and 1 tsp oil as per taste and mix it well. Knead a soft dough by adding water little by little and leave it to rest for 10 minutes by putting a cloth on it. Now put 1 tsp oil in a pan on the other side. After the oil is hot, add onion and fry it. After this, add all the chopped and grated vegetables, ginger paste, black pepper, salt and red or green chili, mix it and cover the lid and cook for 5 minutes.

After this, take out the stuffing in a plate and let it cool for some time. Now roll the maida dough into thin slices. Then cut small balls out of it. Roll the dough into a puri-shaped shape and pour a tablespoon of the prepared mixture on it and fold it like a modak or prepare momos in your desired shape.

Now lubricate it by placing a sieve over an idli stand or a pot of hot water, then keep it for 10-12 minutes to steam momos. After this you can take out the momos in a plate with the help of tongs and serve it with red chili chutney.
